“Music Helped Me Survive”: Da’ville Returns with Inspirational New Single ‘Sunshine Days’ After Musical Hiatus

After more than a decade out of the spotlight, international reggae crooner Da’ville is making a heartfelt and triumphant return with “Sunshine Days”—his first official single and music video in recent times. Known for timeless hits like “In Heaven,” “Can’t Get Over You,” and “Always On My Mind,” the beloved singer is now stepping forward with a new message rooted in faith, resilience, and gratitude.

Da’ville’s musical journey has never been about chasing fame—it’s always been deeply personal. “Music helped me survive,” he reflects. “Even when nobody else believed in me, I believed in myself.” After rising to prominence in the mid-2000s with chart-topping love ballads, Da’ville took a step back from the limelight, disillusioned by a label deal that stifled his creativity and strained industry relationships, including with his former manager. Ultimately, he made the bold decision to walk away from the business and start anew, despite facing backlash. “I chose me. I chose joy. I chose faith. I chose the fans who never stopped believing,” he said.

During his time away, Da’ville never stopped writing or creating—his spirit for music never dimmed. Now, under the guidance of Wendy Morgan at Beautiful People Management and with full distribution support from AMP Music, he’s ready to reintroduce himself, not as the man he was, but as the artist he’s become. “Sunshine Days is about gratitude, love, and walking through life with your head up,” Da’ville shares. “The world needs that energy right now and I’m here to give it.”

The accompanying visuals, directed by acclaimed filmmaker BlingBlang, capture the song’s vibrant essence and spiritual message with cinematic flair. “I’m a fan of Da’ville, so I was excited to bring this song to life on screen,” said BlingBlang. “It’s a great song for everyone.”

Set to be released this Friday, “Sunshine Days” signals not only Da’ville’s comeback but a deeper evolution. As Askia from AMP Music puts it, “This is more than a single—it’s a statement. Da’ville has delivered something truly special. His truth, his voice, and his spirit are all over this song.”
