Dancehall star Spice is celebrating a double career milestone as her Grammy-nominated debut album, 10, returns to the Billboard Reggae Albums chart at No. 15, just days after receiving a Philanthropist Award from her alma mater, St Catherine High School. Five years after its original release, the album’s renewed chart appearance underscores the Jamaican entertainer’s enduring musical relevance, while the recognition from her former school highlights an equally important side of her journey: her contributions beyond the stage and into the community.
Released in 2021 through VP Records, 10 marked a significant chapter in Spice’s international career, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Executive-produced by Shaggy, the 15-track project featured collaborations with artists including Sean Paul, Shaggy and Mýa. Its lead single, Go Down Deh, became one of the standout dancehall releases of the period, further strengthening Spice’s international profile. The album previously peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, making its latest return another notable moment in its commercial journey.
Meanwhile, Spice’s recognition from St Catherine High School adds a personal dimension to an already eventful period. The entertainer was presented with a Philanthropist Award in acknowledgement of her contributions to the performing arts and community. Returning to the institution where she spent her formative years, the honour represents a full-circle moment for the Jamaican star, whose career has taken her from local dancehall stages to international recognition.
The Billboard re-entry also coincides with the chart’s expansion from 10 to 15 positions, effective 31 October 2026. 10 reappeared at No. 15 on the chart dated 7 November, having previously reached its No. 6 peak. While the latest placement does not independently establish a sudden surge in sales or streaming, it demonstrates that the album remains part of the Billboard reggae chart conversation. With international recognition and meaningful acknowledgement at home, Spice continues to build a legacy that extends well beyond her music.
