Shenseea has added another historic achievement to her rapidly growing international résumé after becoming the first female Jamaican artiste to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart.
Her FIFA World Cup anthem “Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026)” featuring Daddy Yankee surged from No. 6 to the top position on the latest Billboard Latin Airplay chart for the week ending July 11, marking a major crossover milestone not only for the dancehall star but also for Jamaican music on the Latin market. The achievement further strengthens Shenseea’s reputation as one of dancehall’s leading global crossover acts as she continues expanding her presence across multiple international genres and territories.
The high-energy collaboration, featured on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, blends dancehall, Latin and international pop influences and has continued gaining momentum since its release through FIFA Sound, Republic Records and Def Jam Recordings. Executive produced by multi-GRAMMY Award-winning producer Tainy, the record has benefited from strong radio support, FIFA’s global platform and growing international streaming traction.
While “Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026)” climbed to the summit of the Latin Airplay chart, the song also remained active on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, slipping from No. 27 to No. 29 after previously peaking at No. 26. The dual-chart presence further highlights the record’s cross-market appeal and the increasing demand for Caribbean-infused sounds within mainstream international radio formats.
Shenseea now joins a select list of Jamaicans who have previously topped Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, including Sean Paul, Shaggy and Jamaican producer Rvssian. Industry observers have described the accomplishment as another significant moment for Jamaican music globally, particularly for female representation within Latin and mainstream international music spaces.
