Lila Iké will return to court early next year, as the Grammy-nominated reggae songstress and her co-accused, Shennelle Moore, have been given a February 12, 2026 trial date in the St Catherine Parish Court. The update came on Thursday, November 14, when the matter was mentioned before Acting Senior Parish Court Judge Janelle Nelson Gayle. With a key police statement still outstanding, the case has once again been pushed forward—keeping the long-running disorderly conduct matter firmly in the public spotlight.

According to the prosecution, the case file remains incomplete because a corroborating officer has not yet resumed duty following the death of his father. The Clerk of Courts confirmed that the missing statement is the last major hurdle before trial. Both women, who have appeared before the court several times since the July 24 incident along the Nelson Mandela Highway, had their bail extended. Police allege the pair became unruly after the SUV Lila was driving was stopped for a Road Traffic Act breach, a claim both women continue to deny.

Meanwhile, Lila Iké is entering 2026 with momentum. Earlier this month, she secured her first Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album for her acclaimed debut Treasure Self Love, earning a coveted spot among this year’s five Jamaican nominees. Speaking with Billboard, she described the moment as “a mixture of pride, shock, and joy,” adding that she feels “blessed and proud” of the team who helped bring the project to life. “This year’s lineup is a beautiful representation of reggae music,” she noted.

As her court date approaches and Grammy season heats up, all eyes will be on how Lila balances legal challenges with one of the biggest milestones of her career.
