The Grammy-winning reggae icons Inner Circle — affectionately known as The Bad Boys of Reggae — are once again lighting up the global stage. Their timeless hit “Bad Boys”, the platinum-certified anthem immortalized by the COPS TV show and the Bad Boys film franchise, is now the soundtrack behind one of 2025’s biggest viral trends: the #FootPursuitChallenge. With over 2 billion views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, the playful chase challenge has seen participation from MrBeast, country star Jessie James Decker, and even real-life police officers — all running to that unforgettable hook, “Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do?”

The viral explosion comes on the heels of a major milestone for the Bad Boys film series, which recently surpassed $1 billion in global box office earnings. That success reignited global interest in the original reggae anthem, reaffirming Inner Circle’s impact on pop culture across generations. On TikTok alone, clips featuring the challenge have exceeded 1 billion views, with another 770 million on Instagram and 300 million on YouTube. Spotify streams have surged to 350 million, while the band now boasts more than 6 million monthly listeners — proof that good vibes and great music truly transcend time.

Formed in Kingston, Jamaica, by brothers Ian and Roger Lewis, Inner Circle have spent over five decades championing reggae’s spirit of unity and positivity. Their discography includes global smashes like “Sweat (A La La La La Long)”, which recently achieved Gold certification in the U.K., three decades after its release. Beyond the music, the group’s cultural contributions continue to be recognized — most recently with a Miami street naming in their honor. The new “Bad Boys Bad Boys Way,” located in Liberty City, celebrates their enduring influence on both reggae and community culture.

With a new wave of fans discovering their classics through viral challenges and digital streams, Inner Circle’s music continues to bridge eras — proving that some anthems never fade, they simply evolve.
