Set to unfold on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC), the event—aptly titled “Solid as a Rock”—serves as the centerpiece of Lauderhill’s celebration of Jamaica’s 63rd year of independence. Sizzla, known for his fiery stage presence and militant lyrics, will headline a powerful lineup of Jamaican musical luminaries. “The Jamaica Independence celebration is significant to me because it represents the fight of the people, being liberated from the slave system and being an independent country and nation,” Sizzla shared ahead of his anticipated performance.
Joining Sizzla on stage will be some of the island’s most respected voices, including the groundbreaking Lady G, soulful Etana, veteran roots singer Admiral Tibet, smooth crooner Hal Anthony, and Festival Song legend Roy Rayon. Backed by the dynamic Code Red Band, the evening promises a high-calibre musical experience rooted in cultural pride and resistance.
