Reggae songstress Lila Iké has officially announced her long-anticipated debut album Treasure Self Love, ending years of fan speculation with a powerful message of healing, growth, and self-discovery. Set for release on August 22, 2025, under Ineffeble Records, the 11-track set is now available for pre-order on all major platforms. The announcement, made via her official Instagram, was accompanied by heartfelt reflections on the emotional journey behind the music: “The word release has a whole new meaning for me. I’ve been living this album for the past 4 years, and it has taught me so much about patience, passion, and surrender. It was never my intention for it to take this long but I now realize I needed that time to truly learn, grow, and #TreasureSelfLove.”
The album features an impressive lineup of collaborators, seamlessly blending reggae, dancehall, R&B, and hip-hop. Standout features include Joey Bada$$ and H.E.R. on previously released singles, and a brand-new collaboration titled Romantic—produced by Juls and Dunwell—with dancehall star Masicka, which premieres July 2. Other guest appearances include longtime mentor Protoje and UK-Irish singer Maverick Sabre. Lila’s storytelling, paired with genre-blurring production, signals a confident evolution from her 2020 breakout EP The Experience.
As the album’s release nears, Lila is also preparing for one of the biggest moments of her live career: her first solo performance at Reggae Sumfest, slated for July 19 at Catherine Hall, Montego Bay. Sharing the flyer on Instagram, she reflected on her humble beginnings: “Came a long way from that girl in the two-piece yellow suit that night doing the bunny hop dem ? Big up to @protoje for giving me the opportunity to perform in his set 6 years ago… now I look at myself among so many great people on the flyer ? what a joy!”
