Notnice Recording artiste and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Nordia Mothersille has her eyes set on global greatness — and a dream collaboration with British powerhouse Adele. “I’d love to collab with Adele; I don’t think she does collabs though. I just love her,” Mothersille shared in a recent interview with the Jamaica Observer, as she actively promotes her latest single Greatness (I Am) — a track already receiving strong regional rotation and major attention from industry giants, including Usain Bolt.
Produced by acclaimed dancehall producer Notnice, Greatness (I Am) was released on May 9 and has quickly become an anthem of empowerment. The St. Mary native credits fellow artiste Jah Vinci for inspiring the theme. “The inspiration behind the track came from Jah Vinci suggesting I write an empowering song… I wanted the lyrics to empower me as well as the listeners,” she explained. The single debuted live at the Wray & Nephew Jamaica Premier League Super Finals on May 23, a performance that marked a pivotal moment in her evolving career.
Mothersille, who co-wrote “Robbed” on Julian Marley and Alexx Antaeus’ Colors of Royal — the Grammy-winning album in 2023 — continues to build on a solid foundation of songwriting excellence. Her 2024 EP Broken Child showcased her emotional depth, while Greatness (I Am) reveals her spiritual conviction and lyrical command. “Speaking life over yourself creates a vibe,” she said, reflecting the affirming energy that runs through her latest work.
With a five-year career gaining steady momentum and more live shows on the horizon, Nordia Mothersille isn’t just chasing greatness — she’s manifesting it.
