In a groundbreaking moment for global music, Drake has officially become the first artist in history to surpass 500 million RIAA-certified units across albums, singles, and collaborative features—a staggering milestone that not only cements his dominance in the digital age but also redefines the ceiling for commercial success. The Toronto-born rapper’s latest achievement was confirmed on April 8, 2025, by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), solidifying his reign as the most certified artist of all time.

This historic feat comes as Drake also topples one of the longest-standing records in music history—surpassing The Beatles for the longest cumulative run on the Billboard 200 chart. According to Chart Data, Drake’s catalogue has now spent 3,348 weeks on the iconic chart, eclipsing The Beatles’ record of 3,311 weeks and edging past Taylor Swift, who sits at 3,313 weeks. Eminem, who previously held the crown for the highest-certified artist until Drake claimed it in 2022, currently has 2,423 weeks on the Billboard 200 and trails behind in total RIAA units.

Drake’s certified catalogue includes six diamond singles—a rare feat in itself. Among them are fan favorites such as “God’s Plan,” “One Dance,” and mega-collaborations like “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott and “Work” alongside Rihanna. His albums are equally decorated: Take Care and Views have each gone 8x platinum, while Scorpion sits at 7x platinum. Industry observers have long debated Drake’s influence on streaming-era music consumption, but these numbers make a persuasive case. “Drake’s catalogue isn’t just consistent—it’s generational,” one industry executive noted. “He’s built an empire on volume, virality, and versatility.”

What makes these accolades even more compelling is their timing. After a turbulent year marked by a high-profile lyrical feud with Kendrick Lamar, Drake’s new single “Nokia” has roared back onto the Billboard Hot 100, climbing to No. 3 this week after a four-spot jump, boosted by a visually striking music video. It marks his highest charting track since “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole in 2023. But competition remains fierce: Kendrick’s chart-dominating hit “Luther,” featuring SZA, has held the top spot for seven consecutive weeks.

With every record shattered and every statistic recalibrated, Drake continues to shape the sound—and metrics—of modern music. He’s not just playing the game; he’s rewriting its rules. As fans and critics alike await his next move, one thing is clear: the 6 God’s legacy is no longer up for debate—it’s in the numbers.
