Dancehall artiste Size 10, a core member of the Aidonia-led 4th Genna camp, was laid to rest over the weekend in a heartfelt ceremony that brought together family, friends, and members of the entertainment fraternity. Born Damion McCullock, the deejay passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 42 after battling a prolonged illness. The thanksgiving service, held on Saturday, March 1, at the Duhaney Park Gospel Assembly, was a solemn yet celebratory farewell, reflecting the impact Size 10 had on those around him.
The event drew an outpouring of love and respect from fellow artistes, with longtime friend and musical collaborator Aidonia leading tributes. Campmates Govana, Jayds, Tanso, and producer Aicon were among the notable attendees, while dancehall artiste Bramma also came to pay his final respects. As the funeral proceedings concluded, Aidonia took to Instagram to express his grief, posting a photo of Size 10 with the caption, “Love and love alone bro! Tru u deven know dawg all now man nuh believe this.”
Size 10 was an integral part of Jag One Production (JOP), the collective that later evolved into 4th Genna. He gained recognition for his contributions to songs such as All 14, Bang Out, War Criminal, and Wavy Wavy, which resonated with hardcore dancehall fans. His distinct flow and lyrical prowess helped shape the sound of the movement, making him a respected figure among peers.
His passing marks another loss for the dancehall community, which has seen several artistes and industry figures depart in recent years. The emotional tributes at his funeral underscored his lasting impact on the people closest to him. While his voice may be silenced, his contributions to dancehall remain a testament to his artistry, ensuring that Size 10’s name will not be forgotten.
