This expansion follows successful debuts in Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, solidifying Str8 Vybz Rum as a major player in the regional market.
Kartel, still on a high from his recent MOBO Impact Award win, has been actively reclaiming his global footprint. His performance calendar is filling up fast, with a highly anticipated set at Black on Black in Tortola, BVI, on March 15, followed by Feel the Vybz in Nassau, Bahamas, on March 29. The Worl’ Boss is also confirmed to headline the Caribbean Music Festival in Barbados on April 20, sharing the stage with heavyweights like Spice, Teejay, and Yung Bredda. These strategic performances mark his first international tour since his release last summer, reinforcing his continued dominance in dancehall.
Beyond business and performances, Kartel is making waves musically with his latest track, Crazy, a powerhouse collaboration with hip-hop legends Busta Rhymes and Akon. Released on February 21, the single fuses dancehall grit with hip-hop bravado, proving Kartel’s ability to transcend genres effortlessly. “My past & present experiences have taught me to believe in three things: faith, resilience, and the transformative power of music,” he stated during his MOBO acceptance speech on February 18.
