Known for her bold lyrics and energetic stage presence, dancehall artiste Pamputtae is proving that her impact goes beyond music. While she’s gearing up to be a headliner for Dancehall Week 2025, the singjay recently took time to give back in a meaningful way, visiting the My Father’s House branch of the Mustard Seed Communities in Kingston. Through her Single Mother Foundation, she donated essential items and, more importantly, shared moments of love and joy with the children and adults living with disabilities.
“It was just a joy to put a smile on the children’s and the disabled people dem face because they need love too, just like everybody else,” Pamputtae shared. Her commitment to this cause is deeply personal—her sister once lived in a Mustard Seed home, and she also helps care for her stepdaughter in Canada, who has a disability. This experience has given her a unique understanding of the struggles these individuals face daily. “Mi dweet from mi heart, and it’s just the right thing to do,” she added, emphasizing that true caregiving requires love and patience.
With the help of friends and local businesses, Pamputtae contributed food, toiletries, and clothing, ensuring that residents received much-needed supplies. Her efforts were warmly welcomed by Mustard Seed’s mission manager, Tamara Burns, who highlighted the importance of such contributions. “We are a charitable organization and we don’t have income-generating projects, so we thrive on the goodwill of others out there,” Burns explained, noting that 95% of the residents are abandoned and fully dependent on the community’s support.
Pamputtae’s philanthropic spirit showcases a softer, more compassionate side of the hardcore entertainer, balancing her music career with meaningful charity work. As she prepares to take center stage at Dancehall Week 2025, her actions send a powerful message—that dancehall isn’t just about hype and energy but also about uplifting those in need. Through her foundation and personal efforts, she continues to prove that giving back isn’t just about donations—it’s about making a real difference.
