The funds, earmarked for infrastructure development and economic mobility, were warmly welcomed by Maroon Chief Richard Currie, who praised Banton’s commitment to supporting Indigenous rights and cultural preservation. “Buju Banton has now shown the world the power of his Maroon bloodline,” Currie said, emphasizing the transformative impact of the donation.
