Chronic Law is set to take center stage at the 2024 edition of Streetz Festival, slated for August 24 at the National Stadium Car Park. Following a stellar performance last year by Masicka, the festival organizers have tapped Chronic Law to headline this year’s event, recognizing his rising dominance in the dancehall scene. Event director Chad Williams emphasized that Chronic Law’s momentum over the past year made him the perfect choice to lead the festival’s lineup. “He is a heavyweight in dancehall right now and represents the Streetz in a big way,” Williams stated.
Chronic Law’s headlining spot at Streetz Festival follows his successful debut on American soil at the Amazura Nightclub in Queens, New York, over the weekend (Saturday, August 10). This performance, his first in the United States, came shortly after he received his US visa, marking a significant milestone in his career. With more American performances scheduled, including an appearance at Red Cups Miami later this month, Chronic Law’s international presence is rapidly expanding. He is expected to return to Jamaica just in time for the Streetz Festival, where fans are eagerly anticipating his energetic and unique performance.
The Streetz Festival promises to be a grand showcase of Jamaican culture, with this year’s introduction of the “Streetz Village,” featuring local food, clothing, and crafts. Williams assured that the event would deliver top-notch entertainment while highlighting the best of Jamaican artistry. With Chronic Law at the helm, the festival is poised to exceed expectations, further solidifying its reputation as a premier event on Jamaica’s cultural calendar.
