British royalty Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a surprise appearance on Tuesday evening at the premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” biopic in Jamaica, showcasing their support for the film celebrating the life and music of the legendary singer. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex graced the red carpet hand-in-hand, with Meghan stunning in a black ensemble, while Harry opted for a tie-less suit for the occasion at the Carib Theatre in Kingston.
Scheduled to hit theatres on February 14, 2024, the movie features Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as his wife, Rita. A synopsis of the film emphasizes its focus on the iconic singer’s message of love and unity, portraying his journey of overcoming adversity and the creation of his revolutionary music.
This visit to Jamaica holds significance for the royal couple, marking a return trip as they had previously travelled to the Caribbean country before their engagement. In 2017, Meghan and Harry attended the wedding of Harry’s friend Tom “Skippy” Inskip to Lara Hughes-Young in Jamaica.
The joint appearance in Kingston, Jamaica, followed closely after Prince Harry’s attendance at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills, where he was honoured as an inductee. Meghan, unfortunately, couldn’t attend the event due to the illness of one of their children. The couple shares two children, son Prince Archie, 4, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 2.
