CJTheChemist, the multi-award-winning music producer, has dropped his highly-anticipated dancehall project titled “1Rifle.” This nine-track compilation, which made its debut earlier this month, boasts a star-studded lineup of dancehall heavy-hitters and rising talents, including Dexta Daps, Govana, Chronic Law, Shane-O, Kiprich, Jah Vinci, Juggla, IWaata, and Rajah Wild.
Distributed by Ineffable Music Group, “1Rifle” is now available on all major digital and streaming platforms, ensuring that dancehall enthusiasts worldwide can easily access this rhythm compilation. CJTheChemist shared his excitement about the project’s reception, stating that the feedback has been outstanding, with notable interest from mixtape DJs and radio personalities.
“The feedback has been great, and it is one of the top downloads for the distributor since the project was released; we are still awaiting the stats from the DSPs to confirm the metrics, but the interest in the projects has been outstanding, especially from mixtape DJs and various radio personalities.”
Explaining the inspiration behind the project’s name and the choice of featured artists, CJTheChemist revealed that “1 Rifle” was a natural progression from the success of his previous juggling, the “1Matik” rhythm, which featured the hit track “Gvnman Shift” by Skeng and other notable songs. He emphasized that while “1 Rifle” builds on the achievements of “1Matik,” it’s meant to establish its own identity and accolades.
As part of the project’s promotional rollout, fans can anticipate accompanying visuals for Chronic Law’s “Think Bout It” and Rajah Wild’s “Inna Mi Cup” in the coming weeks, further enhancing the project’s visibility. CJTheChemist’s goal for “1 Rifle” was to create a dynamic and diverse compilation, with each track offering a unique flavour showcasing the featured artists’ versatility and talent.
Looking ahead, CJTheChemist promises more exciting and electrifying productions from his label, ensuring that the dancehall space remains vibrant and active in the foreseeable future.
