Last Friday witnessed the release of “M.A.Y” (Money All Year), the latest single from the Jamaican-Nigerian Afro-Dancehall sensation Heph B.
This rhythmic anthem pays tribute to the industrious individuals who tirelessly strive to achieve financial independence, ultimately enabling them to lead their most fulfilling lives.
Marking a harmonious collaboration, “M.A.Y” features the musical prowess of Nigerian contemporary Shank. The single debuted under the reputed Da Anointed Records imprint, with distribution facilitated by Distro Kid.
Reflecting on the origins of this partnership, Heph B shared, “Shank heard the track and loved my direction for the songs, so he asked if he could be part of the project. It was a no-brainer for me, especially when it speaks about getting money and building financial freedom. Instead of focusing on negativity, we channel that energy into making money,” He told Prism Marketing Consultants.
The introduction of Shank into this musical synergy adds further vibrancy to the composition. Shank, recognized for buzzworthy efforts like “Julie” and “Ghetto,” is an emerging figure on the global music landscape. His influence extends to being a significant source of inspiration for eminent Afrobeats icons such as Burna Boy and Davido, fostering a sense of unity among Nigerian talents.
The unveiling of “M.A.Y” is a precursor to the forthcoming album “Strength Of A Lion,” a project being meticulously crafted by Heph B. This album is poised to capture his artistic essence and is slated for release during the last quarter of this year.
