Multi-award-winning music producer CJTheChemist is gearing up for the release of his latest dancehall project, titled “1 Rifle.”
The highly anticipated nine-track set features offerings from a plethora of dancehall heavyweights and trending newcomers. Scheduled for official release in the first week of September, the first single, “Missing Piece” by Dexta Daps, will debut this Friday, August 4, via YouTube.
Following Dexta’s debut, other tracks will be released individually over a curated timeline in the lead-up to the full dispensation in September. Distributed by Ineffable Music Group, 1 Rifle will become available on all major digital and streaming platforms, ensuring dancehall fans worldwide can access the rhythm compilation.
When quizzed about the inspiration behind the project’s title and the featured acts, the Chemist Records chief revealed that the name “1 Rifle” was a natural progression from the success of his previous juggling, the “1Matik” rhythm featuring the monster hit “Gvnman Shift” by Skeng among other noteworthy tracks.
“I carefully crafted ‘1 Rifle’ to deliver a unique and distinct compilation, voiding any attempts to replicate the sound of one 1Matik but bringing that same energy musically.” – CJTheChemist added.
Alluding to the tracklist, CJ explains that it is being kept under wraps presently. The element of surprise is exciting as fans never know who will be featured next.
For this latest project, the New York-based producer aimed to create nothing short of a “fire juggling,” with each song on the compilation boasting its own distinct flavour, showcasing the versatility and talent of all the lyrical maestros involved. Dedicated to delivering his best work in everything he undertakes, CJTheChemist is determined to exceed expectations and provide dancehall enthusiasts with an unforgettable musical experience.
