One of the hottest tickets in dancehall since the start of the new year, recording artiste Malie Donn was greeted with an unpleasant surprise over the weekend after being bombarded with bottles during his set at Teen Fete in Ocho Rios.
The incident occurred moments into his performance, forcing him to retreat for safety. In response to the bottles being thrown, the deejay retaliated by hurling the microphone into the crowd before exiting soon thereafter.
Initially, Malie Donn had the masses captivated and amped during his set. However, the atmosphere quickly turned hostile as bottles and other projectiles were launched towards the stage amid the performance of his trendy hit, “V6.”
Following the chaotic turn of events, the party ended abruptly, with some patrons scrambling for the exit. Many attendees expressed disappointment as unrest prevailed, with some even requesting admission refunds.
Taking to Instagram following the melee, Malie Donn addressed the incident, expressing gratitude to his fans and supporters for their attendance and understanding, despite the unfortunate disruptions.
