On Monday afternoon, trending dancehall artist Teejay revealed that his management team has temporarily banned him from using social media. The revelation was made during an interview with Zip 103fm after the host nonchalantly quizzed him about a status update on “Alex from Boston” the Uptop Boss joked about the reason for the ban, stating,
“Mi cyaah talk bout dat, management ban me from social media, because dem know when mi head chip mi jus talk a bagga tings and nuh care.”
The ban comes after an incident on Instagram Live earlier this month where Teejay issued a stern warning to an individual named ‘Alex’ from Boston, who allegedly accepted millions of dollars from him for a pendant that has yet to be delivered.
Despite the ‘supposed ban’, Teejay is gearing up for a busy summer with the release of his new EP titled “I Am Chippy.” With a tentative mid-June release date, Ranch Entertainment and VP Records will jointly distribute the eight-track set featuring Skillibeng. Teejay’s hit single “Drift” is also among the featured offerings and is expected to continue its success into summer.
