On Wednesday night, former member of the 90s dancehall group Scare Dem Crew, Boom Dandimite, and up-and-coming artist Willful Skilful were involved in a car accident on Half Way Tree Road.
According to sources close to the artist, Boom Dandimite sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized in an unconscious state. However, his condition has reportedly been improving. Meanwhile, Willful Skilful was treated and released.
Willful Skilful, who was in the front seat of the Mitsubishi motor car, stated that the accident occurred when their vehicle collided with a Suzuki Swift heading in the opposite direction. It is believed that speeding was the cause of the accident.
The impact of the collision was so severe that Boom Dandimite was knocked unconscious and reportedly suffered a seizure.
Concerns have been raised by the dancehall community for Boom Dandimite’s health, with many sending their well-wishes and praying for his speedy recovery. Currently, Boom Dandimite is receiving treatment at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH).
