According to a recent report by Top Charts Africa, Nigerian artist Burna Boy is the African artist with the highest revenue from a single concert. The report sourced the data from Bloomberg, as well as touring data and Pollstar.
Out of the ten entries on the list, Burna Boy occupied seven slots, with Wizkid and Tiwa Savage taking the remaining three. Burna Boy’s highest-earning concert was his gig at Madison Square Garden on April 28, 2022, which reportedly earned him a staggering $1,576,641.
Other notable concerts on the list included Burna Boy’s performance at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, which generated $1,564,720 in revenue, and his shows at Washington DC’s Capital One Arena and London’s O2 Arena, which earned him $1,434,525 and $1,347,333 respectively.
Wizkid’s entry on the list was at the fifth slot, with his MSG concert raking in $1,002,709, while his London O2 concert generated $958,489 and landed him at the sixth slot.
Tiwa Savage’s O2 Brixton gig earned her the tenth position on the list, with concert revenue of $344,500.
