Nigerian superstar Davido’s fourth studio album, “Timeless,” has been breaking records since its release. The album features collaborations with various artists, including Jamaican dancehall star Dexta Daps, whose joint effort “Bop” debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Song Chart, marking Daps’ first entry on the chart.
Timeless tracklist also features collaborations with established international artists such as Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Asake, emerging local talents Logos Olori, Fave, The Cavemen, and Morravey. The album’s first single, “Champion Sound,” featuring Amapiano ambassador Focalistic, was released earlier.
Meanwhile, the “Unavailable” music video, directed by Davido’s close collaborator Dammy Twitch, is the official comeback for the artist. It is the first of a series coming from “Timeless” and showcases Davido at his best. The album’s release has been a record-breaking launch, with “Timeless” breaking Apple Music streaming records and delivering the second-highest Billboard charting Nigerian album in history. In addition, Davido’s New York Irving Plaza, London, and KOKO Headline Shows sold out in just four minutes.
Martell Cognac, a long-standing partner of Davido, is proud to support the release of “Timeless” and is featured in Davido’s first music video for “Unavailable.” Davido’s inspiring personality and resilience epitomize the audacity and freedom of Martell Cognac’s spirit, making it a perfect partnership for the album.
For Davido, “Timeless” is a body of work that goes beyond fashion and trends, remaining true to his core as an artist and using his music to bring joy to his fans worldwide. The album features a variety of sounds that have shaped his 11-year career so far, from his Afrobeats foundations to childhood influences of R&B and Rap and nods to Amapiano.
Davido’s “Timeless Night With Davido” was a series of one-off shows in New York, London, and Lagos, giving fans an intimate and unique opportunity to see the artist like never before.
