Over the weekend, international dancehall sensation Skillibeng announced that he and incarcerated entertainer Vybz Kartel are set to release a new collaboration entitled “The King and The Prince“.
The news was shared on Skillibeng’s official Instagram account with the cover art and caption, ” “The King” and “The Prince” April 14th”. Fans of the deejay expressed their excitement for the upcoming project, and Vybz Kartel also gave his approval by commenting on the post, stating, “Jesus Christ @skillibeng YZT👁️”.
The revelation follows Vybz Kartel’s recent disclosure about his upcoming EP, “Numb“. The eight-track compilation is executively produced by Adidjaheim Records with distribution courtesy of Zojak Worldwide. The joint effort between Savage Savo and Vybz Kartel is the final song on the compilation, with other offerings including the title track “Numb“, “Without You“, “Vaccine“, “I Only Wanted You“, “Play Boy Bunny“, “The Search Is Over” and “About Last Night“. The latter is the only previously released track on the project.
In the meantime, Skillibeng continues to promote his latest joint effort, “Money Conversations“, with the fast-rising dancehall duo Big12welve. The “Whap Whap” hitmaker and the Harbour View-based duo recently shot the official video, which is expected to premiere this week.
