Still on the rebound following the passing of his 9-year-old son Khalif Lawrence late last year after a prolonged battle with cancer, Dancehall star Aidonia earlier this week got a major career endorsement from American R&B singer Chris Brown.
Currently on a tour of Europe and the United Kingdom, Brown recently stopped in London, delivering another showstopping performance. The “Run It!” hitmaker and his dancers performed an exciting routine to Aidonia’s 2017 hit “Yeah Yeah” as part of his set during the presentation.
A video snippet, now making the rounds on social media, has dancehall fans lauding the American superstar for supporting the 4th Genna deejay and the Jamaican genre.
The tour dubbed “Under The Influence“, which kicked off on February 12 at the 3 Arena in Ireland, will make additional stops in Dublin, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Paris, Zurich, Oberhausen, Berlin, Brussels, Munich and Amsterdam before culminating on March 6 at the Ziggo Dome in the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Aidonia is gearing up to release his second single for the new year. Produced by Banger House Music, the track “Socrates” showcases the deejay’s witty and intellectual lyricism as he toasts over a fiery upbeat instrumental that will indeed have dancehall lovers “bussing a few blanks in the air”.
