Jamaican songbird Tessanne Chin and her husband, Brandon Crooks, are now proud parents of another beautiful baby girl, Aayla Denise Crooks.
Born February 2, 2023, at Andrews Memorial Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, the 8lbs, 6oz. bundle of joy is the couple’s second child and the latest addition to their growing family.
A day earlier, the couple’s firstborn, Zaia Christine Crooks, turned 3 years old, making this an even more memorable moment for the family. Upon Aayla’s arrival, Tessanne took to her official Instagram account to share the exciting news with her over 287k followers,
“We are overflowing with gratitude to God and joy as we welcome our newest love to the world. Our bright-eyed beauty ‘Aayla Denise Crooks’ arrived on 02.02.2023, weighing 8lbs 6oz,” Tessanne wrote in her post.
Thanking the team of medical personnels, she continued, “Endless and eternal gratitude to @mikeyabrahams . We thank you for being with us ever since Zaia was born. We also would like to show love to Dr.Gibson and of course Dr.Banton-Franklin @werkidsja . Thank you!!!
Last but certainly not least a MASSIVE shout out to the incomparable nurses at @andrewsmemorialhospital who took such awesome care of us.

Tessane first announced her pregnancy on August 7, 2022, with an adorable photo of Zaia wearing a T-shirt with the words “I’m going to be a big sister.”
Tessanne, the sister of Tami Chin, rose to international fame after winning the American talent competition, The Voice. Though her global presence was short-lived, during her reign, she won hearts worldwide with her pristine vocals and made history as the first international artist to claim the title.
