A video has emerged that appears to confirm the rumours of a backstage brawl between rappers Offset and Quavo at the recent Grammy Awards.
According to reports, the altercation took place just before Quavo was set to perform his tribute to Takeoff, “Without You”, with Maverick City Music. The video obtained by Entertainment Tonight shows a visibly agitated Cardi B, who is married to Offset, yelling at two individuals, assumed to be her husband and Quavo. She can be heard telling someone to be quiet, but the person’s identity remains unclear.
When asked about the situation, Cardi brushed it off, saying, “The only thing I settled was my outfit, honey”. Quavo declined to address the altercation when asked by Entertainment Tonight but stated, “Very important. Long live Takeoff”. Offset downplayed the fight allegations, tweeting, “What tf looks like fighting my brother yal ni**as is crazy”.
Multiple witnesses claim that Quavo initiated the fight and had to be separated.
The Grammys reportedly invited Offset to participate in the tribute, but Quavo denied the request. Quavo performed his emotional song “Without You” with Maverick City Music during the Grammy Awards In Memoriam segment.
