Reggae firebrand Sizzla Kalonji is set to embark on a tour of Japan later this year.
Spanning thirteen cities, the club tour dubbed “Sizzla Kalonji Everlasting – Japan Tour 2023” will commence on April 25 and culminate on May 7, 2023, with stops at various venues, including Vibes, Duckbill, The VooDoo Lounge, Route Fourteen, King XMHU, Mairo and Bank30 among others as part of his two-week exploit.
Speaking exclusively with Prism Marketing Consultants representative for the singer Mz Mumsie says, “despite recent controversies surrounding the artist, fans in Japan can look forward to an exciting tour that promises to showcase Sizzla’s impressive music career and ever-expanding catalogue.”
Last month, Sizzla was involved in a spat with American music mogul DJ Khaled, which led to him burning a pair of platinum plaques sent by the American business magnate due to alleged disrespect. However, despite this, the reggae icon continues to showcase an impeccable work ethic in an industry that does not promise longevity to most.
Following the unfortunate events, the “Dry Cry” hitmaker released a new single titled “All This Time“, produced by SpaceAgeRasta, Lead Out Productions, and Kalonji Music Productions. The single comes on the heels of his 20th-anniversary celebration for “Da Real Thing“, the most successful album of his career.
Bringing down the curtains on 2022, Sizzla also performed at the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise, delivering an energetic set many believe helped restore some calm to his demeanour following the plaque-burning exercise.
Sizzla Kalonji continues to be a force in the reggae music scene, and fans in Japan can expect an exhilarating tour. The musical excursion will be a great opportunity for fans to experience Sizzla’s unique brand of roots reggae music, which has always been a way to express his views and opinions.
