The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has reportedly listed a person of interest in connection with the death of social media influencer Aneka “Slickianna” Townsend.
Rushane “Chizzie” Patterson, a resident of Prosper, Hanover, is wanted for questioning concerning an investigation and is being asked to turn himself in at the Freeport Police Station by 5:00 pm on Saturday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Vernon Ellis, head of the St. James Police Division, told the Jamaican media, “We have Rushane Patterson of Prosper, Hanover as a person of interest in this investigation, and we are asking him to turn himself into the police, by 5:00 pm,”
SSP Ellis further added that a vehicle was seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
“A series of operations have been conducted this morning in a neighbouring parish, and a vehicle was recovered,” he stated.
The 35-year-old social media influencer, originally from Waterloo Road in St. Andrew, was positively identified by her mother early Saturday morning. Relatives of Townsend said she was also known by the name “Kayan.”
According to reports, Slickiana’s partially decomposing body was found floating in the water off the coast of a beach in the early morning hours of Friday. The Marine police eventually recovered the body from the water.
On Townsend’s various social media pages, people are expressing their deepest condolences as they struggle to comprehend the devastating news.
Currently, the investigation is still ongoing.
