Jamaican songstress Shenseea continues to break new ground for her career after recently entering both the Billboard Canadian and U.S. AfroBeat Charts with a pair of collaborations.
Obsessed, a coordinated effort with American singer Charlie Puth and Scottish super-producer Calvin Harris debuted at No. 76 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 list. At the same time, her joint project Fireboy DML’s Diana featuring Chris Brown sits comfortably at No. 17 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats chart.
This latest accomplishment sees Shenseea becoming a debutant on both platforms as she continues to raise her international profile.
Adding to her growing list of attainments, the ‘Blessed‘ hitmaker has officially surpassed 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, denoting a historical milestone as the first Jamaican-born female to earn this many listeners on the platform. However, it’s important to note that her abovementioned collaboration, Obsessed with over 8.4 million streams, was critical in achieving this feat.
Presently, other Jamaican entertainers eclipsing her on the platform’s monthly stream rankings are Shaggy with 14.4 million, reggae legend Bob Marley with 16.1 million and Sean Paul nabbing the coveted spot with 24.9 million streams.
