Later this month, Laa Lee is scheduled to depart the island for a two-week tour of the United Kingdom. The stint will run from August 20 to September 1.
The Bong Bing hitmaker will make stops in several cities across the British mainland, including Tottenham, Manchester, London and Birmingham. On August 26, the artist will be at Scala for a carnival showcase before proceeding to other cities across the country.
Speaking with Prism Marketing Consultants, manager Comar Campbell, better known as Frankie (Frankie Music), emphasises that there has been an uptick in the request for the entertainer in that space,
“The demand for Laa Lee is growing in Britain. Therefore, it’s not only about performances, but the trip will also involve a media campaign to further amplify his presence in that market.” – Frankie added.
Laa Lee’s collaborative hit Bong Bing featuring Cristale was recently added to mainstream rotation in the country, which has led to renewed interest.
Following his British sojourn, the Jamaican will skip over to the U.S. as one of the headliners for Power 105.1FM’s D.J. Norie annual event dubbed “Anything Goes Live”, the billing also features Safari, Serani and Popeye Caution.
Locally, plans far advance for releasing several new singles, including two international collaborations and a catchy number titled Floating, the latter produced by Frankie Music.
