In a media briefing on Tuesday afternoon Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Crime Portfolio, DCP Fitz Bailey, announced that the boyfriend of social media influencer Donna-Lee Donaldson has been charged with murder.
DCP Bailey revealed that Constable Noel Maitland had been slapped with the charges after detectives attached to the case shifted their focus to treating Donna-Lee’s disappearance as a murder investigation.
The announcement by the Police comes as part of their monthly update to the media.
Since July 11, Miss Donaldson’s disappearance has sparked much public outrage, leading to protests by friends and family demanding justice.
Constable Maitland was arrested and remanded following a judge’s refusal of his habeas corpus application.
