This summer, Uber will introduce a new feature that allows users in the United Kingdom to book plane tickets directly through the app. The feature is powered by Hopper, an online travel agent.
Customers can enter their destination and travel dates, select flights, and pay on the app. Users can also choose their seat assignments for flights with major carriers.
In addition to plane tickets, U.K. users can already book cars, buses, trains, and boat transportation through the app.
It is unclear if Uber will launch the feature in the U.S. According to an Uber spokesperson, they will observe the level of customer engagement in the U.K. first before deciding to introduce the feature to other markets.
