It began with strangers repeating affirmations together in Clubhouse rooms during the COVID-19 pandemic. A few years later, the idea has travelled from Jamaica to London and even along England’s Jurassic Coast, where Jamaican reggae and dancehall producer Germaine “Blaqk Sheep” Clarke built instrumentals on an Akai MPC while travelling by boat. Now, alongside ZJ Sparks, Qraig of Voicemail, British actor Ansu Kabia and wellness practitioner Nature Restored, they have helped transform that unlikely beginning into Motivational Blueprint 2 (Positive Affirmations & the Best Motivational Speeches), an 11-track project confronting burnout, self-worth, procrastination, fame and the importance of protecting your peace.
The concept grew out of Nature Restored’s popular Clubhouse affirmations sessions, where listeners gathered to repeat positive statements and build them into their daily routines. When the rooms ended, however, the experience disappeared with them. Demand for something people could revisit helped inspire the original Motivational Blueprint, while work on its more ambitious sequel began in 2023. This time, the team moved beyond straightforward affirmations, blending spoken word, cinematic production and Jamaican Patois into tracks designed for real-life moments. Blaqk Sheep’s production was central to that approach, with songs such as “Nervous System Reset 432Hz” using a slower, more spacious musical setting to support Nature Restored’s words.
Meanwhile, the project brings distinctly Jamaican voices into unexpected territory. ZJ Sparks appears on “Everything Is Working Out for Me”, “One Step Closer” and “No More Someday”, while Qraig of Voicemail leads “Gratitude (The Most Powerful Morning Affirmations)”. Blaqk Sheep also brings Jamaican Patois to the motivational space on “Protect Mi Peace”, tackling boundaries and the right to limit access without guilt. British actor Ansu Kabia takes another route on “The Strong One”, a dramatic motivational piece aimed at the person everybody depends on but rarely checks on, built around the powerful idea that being needed is not the same as being cared for.
Across Motivational Blueprint 2, the collective explores self-love, burnout, comeback motivation, nervous-system calm and believing in yourself before the results arrive. Nature Restored leads “Love Yourself”, “Nervous System Reset 432Hz” and “Buried Alive”, while other tracks examine the pressure of fame, the trap of procrastination and the mental weight of constantly being expected to stay strong. The team has also submitted the project for GRAMMY consideration. Available now on major streaming platforms, Motivational Blueprint 2 is an unconventional meeting point between Jamaican music, global entertainment and personal empowerment, proving that one of the most unexpected collaborations in the space may have started with something as simple as a group of strangers choosing to repeat a few positive words.
