Flippa Moggela will have to wait another month for his next court appearance after proceedings in his U.S. federal drug case were delayed at the request of the parties involved. The dancehall entertainer, whose given name is Andrew Davis, was previously scheduled to return to court on August 10 but will now appear before Judge Elizabeth Pascal on September 9, alongside co-defendants Damion Jones and Clifford Brown.

The latest postponement comes as the case enters a new phase following a plea agreement reached by the fourth co-accused, James McBride. The 53-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and is potentially facing up to eight years in prison under the agreement, despite the charge carrying a maximum sentence of 40 years. McBride is scheduled to be sentenced on December 1, 2026.

Flippa Moggela, Jones, McBride and Brown have been accused of conspiring to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl. Federal prosecutors previously said the investigation involved surveillance, intercepted communications and digital evidence, with alleged activity spanning August 2025 to May 2026. Davis was also previously convicted in a separate New Jersey drug trafficking and money laundering case and served nine years of a 25-year sentence before being released on parole in 2022.

Meanwhile, there has been no reported change to the status of Flippa Moggela’s case beyond the latest postponement. With his new September 9 court date now aligned with Jones and Brown, attention will turn to whether further plea agreements emerge as the federal proceedings continue.
