Following a sold-out North American tour earlier this year and with one of the hottest songs currently dominating the streets, Valiant is continuing his breakout run with five nominations at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards. The fast-rising Dancehall star secured nods in major categories including Dancehall Album of the Year for Prove Them Wrong, Dancehall Song of the Year for “Passenger Princess (Story Book Riddim)”, Dancehall Performer of the Year, Dancehall Video of the Year for “Passenger Princess”, and Male Dancehall Artist of the Year. At the same time, his latest anthem “Woii” continues building strong momentum heading into summer as one of the most heavily rotated tracks from Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor’s viral Hill & Gully Riddim.

The nominations further cement Valiant’s growing influence within Dancehall’s new generation, particularly following his successful “Passenger Princess Deluxe” tour across North America. Earlier this year, the entertainer closed the run with a sold-out finale at Terminal 5 in New York City after previously packing venues in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Toronto, and Montreal. The strong turnout highlighted the increasing global demand for younger Jamaican acts capable of blending melodic hooks with gritty street narratives.

Meanwhile, “Woii” has emerged as one of the season’s most talked-about Dancehall records, gaining heavy rotation across Jamaica and the diaspora. The song’s infectious energy and raw delivery have made it a standout from the Hill & Gully Riddim, which has become one of the biggest riddim projects currently shaping the summer soundscape. Industry observers have pointed to the track’s growing popularity as another sign that Valiant is successfully converting touring momentum into mainstream musical impact.

The Caribbean Music Awards recently announced over 250 nominees across more than 40 categories for its 2026 staging, reflecting the continued global rise of Caribbean music. With voting now officially open through August 10, Valiant enters the competition as one of Dancehall’s strongest young contenders during a period that may prove to be the biggest chapter of his career so far.
