“I Think I’m Gonna Sue AI”: Spice Forced to Flee Burning Couch During ‘Volcano’ Video Stunt

Reigning queen of dancehall Spice has sparked a viral frenzy online after a fiery promotional stunt for her latest single “Volcano” went up in flames. The dancehall star shared dramatic footage of herself fleeing from a burning couch during a homemade video shoot before joking that artificial intelligence may have tricked her into recreating the dangerous scene. The clip quickly exploded across social media, adding even more momentum to one of dancehall’s hottest songs of the moment.

In the now-viral Instagram video, Spice is seen confidently sitting on a couch surrounded by flames as part of the “Volcano” challenge tied to the single’s fiery concept. However, the situation intensified within seconds, forcing the entertainer to quickly jump from the couch as the blaze spread closer. Despite the chaotic moment, Spice appeared unfazed, laughing throughout parts of the clip and even removing her wig while reacting to the heat.

Explaining the inspiration behind the stunt, the artiste revealed that she had originally seen a similar clip online and believed it was authentic. “I think I’m gonna sue AI because I saw someone singing their song on a burning couch and thought I’d try it,” she joked in the caption. Spice later admitted she realised too late that the original video may not have been real at all. “But it was this moment I realized it wasn’t even real,” she added, while also confessing that “the flames alone almost took me out.”

The stunt arrives as Spice continues to dominate conversations surrounding “Volcano,” which has already made a major impact on streaming and digital platforms. Shortly after its release, the track surged to No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Songs chart, further cementing the dancehall queen’s ability to blend viral marketing with chart success. Fans have since flooded social media with reactions to the clip, with many praising her fearless creativity while others questioned the risks involved in recreating dangerous online trends.

Meanwhile, Spice reassured supporters that no one was injured during filming and clarified that the couch used in the stunt had already been damaged beforehand. As “Volcano” continues heating up online, the viral moment has only added fuel to the single’s growing buzz, proving once again that Spice knows exactly how to keep the internet talking.
