In a dazzling celebration of beauty, poise, and purpose, Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss World 2025 at the grand finale of the 72nd staging of the prestigious pageant, held in Telangana, India. Beating out 107 other contestants from across the globe, Chuangsri earned the coveted title and was officially crowned by reigning queen Krystyna Pyszková. The first runner-up position went to Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje Admassu, in a competition that highlighted continental excellence and global unity. Waving the Caribbean banner was Miss Martinique, Aurélie Joachim, who placed fourth.
Among the standout performances was Jamaica’s own Tahje Bennett, who made a commendable showing by securing a spot in the Top 10 for the Americas and the Caribbean region and finishing in the overall Top 40 of the global contest. The 21-year-old radiated confidence and grace throughout the competition, proudly representing her island nation on one of the world’s biggest beauty stages.
Co-franchise owner of Miss Jamaica World, Dahlia Harris, expressed pride in Bennett’s performance while noting challenges posed by the revamped pageant format. “I think the new format of pairing the Americas and the Caribbean made it extremely difficult to advance,” Harris commented. “The fact that she made Top 10 from the continent is a tremendous achievement. We are extremely proud of her!”
This year’s Miss World competition introduced a refined continental selection process, narrowing the field from regional Top 10s to four ultimate winners—one from each region. Representing the Americas and the Caribbean this year was Miss Martinique, Aurélie Joachim. With Thailand taking the global crown and Jamaica once again making a strong impression, Miss World 2025 was a vibrant celebration of diversity, resilience, and cultural pride.
