In a dazzling celebration of life and legacy, Rototom Sunsplash returns for its milestone 30th edition from August 16 to 23, 2025, with a stellar lineup that bridges generations and genres. Headlining this year’s festivities are Jamaican songbirds Marcia Griffiths, Koffee, and Spice—three powerhouse women in reggae and dancehall who each bring their own unique energy to the international stage. With nearly 200 acts confirmed across seven stages in Benicàssim, Spain, the festival promises to be a global hub of Caribbean culture, unity, and musical evolution.
Under the unifying theme “Celebrating Life,” Rototom’s anniversary will be more than a music festival—it’s a cultural pilgrimage. The addition of Marcia Griffiths, a former member of the legendary I-Threes who sang backup for Bob Marley, adds both historic weight and heartfelt nostalgia. Koffee, the Grammy-winning young reggae sensation, brings the genre’s future to the fore, while Spice, the reigning queen of dancehall, injects bold flair and raw authenticity into the celebration. Together, these women represent reggae’s roots, its present pulse, and its evolving future.
The festival also commemorates what would have been Bob Marley’s 80th birthday, with performances from his sons Julian Marley and Ky-Mani Marley, as well as original members of The Wailers. With this powerful homage, Rototom cements its place as a space where legacy and innovation converge. As organizers aptly put it, 2025’s staging is “an edition to celebrate—from the collective,” highlighting the festival’s role in fostering not just music, but also social and cultural dialogue over three impactful decades.
Also enriching the experience are performances from other international acts like Shaggy, Steel Pulse, Tarrus Riley, Third World, Burning Spear, and Misty in Roots, as well as emerging talents from across Europe and Latin America. Whether it’s reggae fused with jazz, gospel, rock, or metal, the lineup spans continents and soundscapes—proof that reggae’s heartbeat is global.
