Dancehall artist Craigy T is making moves both as a solo act and as a member of the renowned group T.O.K. With his latest EP, Unload, getting attention, the entertainer has now released the official video for No Echo, an uptempo track infused with a carnival and dancehall vibe. Featuring dancers Radha Ruiz and DHQ Aga, the vibrant visuals—shot by Prime Concepts at Ideas Evolution Studios—bring an energetic and immersive experience to the screen. “The song has a carnival/dancehall vibe, so the timing feels right,” Craigy T explained, adding that No Echo is his personal favourite from the project.
Meanwhile, T.O.K. is preparing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album Unknown Language, which featured the global hit Footprints. The group intends to release a commemorative album with fresh collaborations, including projects with African artists to reimagine their classics. “We’re in talks with artistes from the African market to put a fresh twist on the songs people already love,” Craigy T shared. The milestone celebration will also see T.O.K. embarking on a worldwide tour spanning Europe, South America, and Asia, bolstering their continued influence on the global dancehall scene.
Beyond his musical projects, Craigy T is also advocating for dancehall’s revival on international stages. Speaking at the Island Music Conference, he stressed the importance of networking and grassroots promotion, particularly in Europe. “More artistes need to understand that success there isn’t social media-driven. It’s about real-world impact and sacrifice,” he emphasized, citing rising Jamaican artist Black Hero as a prime example of someone making significant strides through physical presence.
