Following their triumphs at the 2025 MOBO Awards, Dancehall luminaries Vybz Kartel and Shenseea are set to bring their chart-topping hits to the stage at the highly anticipated St. Kitts Music Festival. Shenseea, who claimed the coveted title of Best Caribbean Music Act, and Vybz Kartel, honoured with the Impact Award, are among the star-studded lineup for the festival, which promises to be a historic event in St. Kitts this summer.
The announcement has fans buzzing, especially after Shenseea’s remarkable victory at the MOBOs, where she bested heavyweights like Spice, Popcaan, YG Marley, Valiant, and Skillibeng. This marks her second win at the prestigious British music awards, after making history in 2021 as the first female to win the Best Reggae Act category. Kartel, whose influence on Dancehall and global music is undeniable, was recognized for his lasting impact on the industry with the Impact Award, solidifying his place as a legend in the genre.
Scheduled for June 26-28, 2025, the St. Kitts Music Festival will see these two Caribbean titans take the stage alongside an eclectic mix of artists, including American singer-actress Jennifer Hudson and Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr. With a reputation for curating diverse, world-class performances, the festival will offer attendees an unforgettable celebration of music spanning genres such as Soca, Reggae, R&B, and Hip Hop. “We’re excited to kick off Summer of Fun with one of the Caribbean’s most anticipated musical events,” said Kelly Fontenelle, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, promising an immersive cultural experience that goes beyond just the music.
Taking place at Warner Park Stadium, the St. Kitts Music Festival continues to grow in significance within the Caribbean’s tourism calendar. As one of the premier musical celebrations in the region, the event draws music lovers from across the globe, all eager to experience the vibrant atmosphere that St. Kitts is known for. “The festival is a vital part of our summer tourism programme,” said Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism, underscoring its importance to the island’s cultural and economic landscape.
