Spawn, who first made waves as a DJ on the UK circuit, has steadily transitioned into music production, working with both rising stars and established heavyweights. His upcoming projects for 2025 include a star-studded riddim compilation featuring reggae firebrand Capleton, alongside Qraig Voicemail, Dario, and others. Additionally, he has been collaborating with artists like Neelah, promising fresh sounds tailored to dancehall’s ever-evolving audience. “I tend to overthink, making sure everything sounds perfect before releasing it,” he admitted, underscoring his meticulous approach to music production.
His journey into the industry dates back to his days as a radio personality on 876radio.com in Jamaica and also in the UK, where he earned the nickname ‘dance floor filler’ for his ability to energize diverse crowds. After launching Spawneezy Records, he introduced his Play No Games compilation in 2020. The label has also worked with stalwarts like Capleton, Mr. Lexx, Voicemail, RDX and Chronic Law. He followed up with Bad Brit in 2021, a grittier, street-oriented project that reflected his evolving vision for dancehall’s UK scene.
Now based in Reading, Spawn remains committed to amplifying Caribbean sounds in the British market.
