One of dancehall’s newest waves is here, and Blaize Shell Shell is making it official with the much-anticipated launch of his EP Tam A Neva Cap, set to unfold this Wednesday, October 30th, at Janga’s Sound Bar in Kingston. Partnering with Supa Heavy, the deejay promises fans a memorable night with performances by renowned acts like General B and popular disc jock Boom Boom, among others. Scheduled from 7 p.m. to midnight, the event aims to solidify Blaize’s place as one of the genre’s most exciting new talents.
Blaize, known for tracks like Toxic Love and Too Late, describes Tam A Neva Cap as a deeply personal project. “Each song speaks to different aspects of my journey,” he explains, adding that the EP is “reflective but still edgy, and it always includes the ladies.” Produced by Shell Click Ent. and distributed by One RPM, the 10-track collective draws on talents from seasoned producers like Snow Cone, Aicon, and PantaSon, merging Blaize’s introspective lyricism with a catchy, contemporary sound. The EP’s title, Tam A Neva Cap, reflects the artist’s own growth and perseverance: “The name was inspired by understanding that whatever we go through is all part of our journey,” Blaize shared, underscoring the project’s powerful theme.
Beyond his music, Blaize is also gaining recognition for his philanthropy. Recently, he visited Gordon Town Primary School, donating funds to assist students with school fees and essential supplies. He also gifted 25 copies of his book, The Power of Pain, underscoring his commitment to inspiring youth. “Many youths look up to artists and public figures as mentors. We have a duty to inspire and motivate them in the right direction,” Blaize said, stressing the importance of giving back.
With his EP launch, ongoing community work, and a passion that is unmistakable, Blaize Shell Shell is more than a rising star—he’s a force helping to shape the future of dancehall. Fans can look forward to experiencing his journey firsthand at Janga’s this Wednesday, where he’ll showcase not just new music but a testament to resilience and growth in the dancehall scene.
