In a heartfelt statement issued by the band, they expressed their profound sorrow, describing Peter Morgan as not just a lead singer but also a cherished husband, father, son, and brother. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Peter Morgan was part of the musical legacy of Jamaican singer Denroy Morgan, being one of his over twenty children. Morgan Heritage, comprising five Morgan siblings, was formed in 1994, later signing with MCA and releasing their debut album “Miracles” the same year. Following their initial success, the family relocated to Jamaica, further cementing their ties to their Jamaican roots.
Throughout their journey, the group experienced changes, with Peter, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan becoming the core members.
