On Thursday, March 23, a man travelled from South Carolina to Rihanna’s Hollywood home intending to propose to her. The man, who was not identified, arrived at the Grammy award-winning singer’s property at approximately 12:30 pm wearing a red Nike hoodie and sweatpants.
However, security immediately stopped him before he could reach her driveway and called the police. Upon the police’s arrival, the man was placed in handcuffs for trespassing, but after a thorough discussion with him, they concluded that he had not broken any laws. Nonetheless, he was instructed to leave and not return. It is unclear whether Rihanna or her family was present during the incident.
This is not the first time Rihanna has had an unwanted visitor at her home. In 2018, a man named Eduardo Leon broke into her Hollywood Hills home and spent the day hiding inside before her assistant discovered him. Police arrested Leon, and he told them that he was there to have sex with the singer. Luckily, Rihanna was out of town at the time.
It is important to remember that celebrities, like everyone else, have a right to privacy and safety in their own homes. While it is understandable to be a fan, travelling to someone’s home without their permission is unacceptable. It is always best to show your appreciation and admiration for someone from a respectful distance.
