Popular comedian Nigel Theron Joseph, better known as Majah Hype, has found himself in hot water again. The entertainer is reportedly being held at the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office adult detention facilities in Georgia, where he has been detained for the past four days.
The charges against him include simple battery and felony charges of making “terroristic threats and acts”. While it is not immediately clear if these charges are in relation to a domestic abuse incident, Hype’s ex-girlfriend, Latisha Kirby Farrell, accused him of physically assaulting her in December 2020.
This is not the first time Hype has had a run-in with the law. In January 2021, he was arrested on two felony counts of kidnapping and terroristic threats and acts, as well as a misdemeanour charge of simple battery. The incident took place following the accusations made by Farrell.
Majah Hype has made a name for himself through his relatable characters on social media and his BET Digital series. However, his personal life has been far from perfect, and this latest incident is just another chapter in what seems to be a troubled story.
As of now, he remains in custody without bond, and we can only wait and see how this situation unfolds.
